We are offering a one year research and clinical fellowship in the field of Cerebrovascular Medicine at Monash Medical Centre and collaborating institutions. The strength of the unit is in MR and CT perfusion imaging and epidemiological research in the field of stroke and vascular dementia.

Applications are invited from qualified medical practitioners, registered in the state of Victoria, with a post graduate diploma in Surgery, preferably the FRACS or equivalent, for the position of Upper GI/HPB Fellow. The position is based at Monash Medical Centre Clayton with occasional travel to other Southern Health sites. The position is equivalent to that of a Senior Registrar or Junior Consultant being attached to the General Surgical Units at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.

IMG Medical Student Placement Program (57235)
Southern Health runs a Program to assist International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who have not already worked in Australia, to gain experience in working in an Australian hospital in order to facilitate them obtaining and successfully commencing full-time medical officer employment.
This program will commence in October or November 2010. Dates to be advised.
The Program involves a minimum of three clinical placements of 8 weeks each in medicine, surgery and emergency. Successful completion of the Program will result in the award of a Completion Certificate and employment with Southern Health as a medical officer.
