Monash Medical Centre is a busy tertiary hospital within Southern Health, seeing in excess of 60,000 patients per year. The emergency department is a dynamic and challenging place to work with CMO staff having exposure to a diverse and interesting range of patient presentations.
All CMO's (Career Medical Officers) staff are closely assisted and supervised by ED Physicians who are Fellows of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.

Fellow in Reproductive Medicine Unit (RMU)

The Women’s and Children’s program is seeking to appoint a Fellow in the Reproductive Medicine Unit at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton from 7 February 2011. This appointment is for one year in the first instance, renewable thereafter subject to performance appraisal. Involvement with the Monash University, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Monash IVF is expected. Involvement in medical student, trainee and midwifery teaching is also expected. Participation in the ‘out of hours’ on-call roster is also required.
You must be at senior registrar level within RANZCOG or have completed ST6 training via the RCOG. Candidates must show evidence of pursuing subspecialty training and a career in reproductive medicine. Preliminary requirements shall include a PhD. Molecular biology training will be considered an advantage. Research training in andrology/spermatogenesis is also obligatory for this prestigious Reproductive Medicine appointment. Past experience in major IVF units is expected and overseas experience, in particular, will be considered advantageous. As involvement in medical student training is expected, medical undergraduate honours or merit awards are necessary for the successful candidate. Competitive candidates will have experience in operative laparoscopy surgery, including LAVH, and be confident in independently managing a labour ward.

The Rehabilitation in the Home (RITH) program offers intensive rehabilitation services to clients within the context of their own home and community. General Practitioner for Transition Care Program in South 1 Ward, Kingston Centre (up to 4 half days per week).

CDAMS is a medical diagnostic service for older people who are experiencing declining cognition. The CDAMS allied health role is a generic one, with involvement in the diagnostic process and education of family/clients at the Feedback Session.

We are seeking a highly motivated AOD Youth counsellor with experience in working with high risk adolescent clients with alcohol and other drug issues in the community. You will provide counselling and outreach services to adolescents in the Cities of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia, as well as assist with the running of the support accommodation program from time to time. This will include a range of therapeutic interventions to reduce substance related harm.
